Deck the halls

We put the Christmas tree up on Sunday, but it's taken me three days to actually have time to decorate it with the kids. Busy, busy. busy. To alleviate temper tantrums we divided up all the baubles and gave the kids a plate each of their own decorations and they took it in turns. Amazingly, this actually worked. We had a lovely time and now we're just waiting for Daddy to come home to put on the Christmas Star - the finishing touch. Will post photo of the tree when star is attached - looks a bit weird right now, like a diva who's left her best bling at home.

Last day of school for the girls tomorrow (for eight weeks!). Just packaged up a number of gifts for all of the teachers. We've been really blessed with the kids teachers this year and I hope this gift will bring a moment of respite.

Coffee & choc-chip cookies - I'm hoping it's a fail-safe gift.
