Look at this face. What do you think the answeris to that question?
The snow has stopped in both Portland and Spokane for the moment. Hubby says about 7 inches fell just yesterday at our house. There has been snow almost every day since I left home. I think he's missing his snow shoveler. Tomorrow looks to be a window of opportunity so I'm driving home with Chloe. Look who will be missing each other.
They have become good buddies this trip.
I was talking to Dennis today on his lunch break and just I started sobbing uncontrollably. Seriously. It will be so hard to leave this little girl tomorrow. Not that it has ever been easy to leave her, but she has become such a "little person" this trip. We have conversations with each other and she kisses me and we play with her "babies" together. She calls me Gramma. I just love her so much.
On the other hand, I miss Dennis terribly much. I feel like half of my heart is left behind in Spokane when I leave him there. I can't wait till he retires and we can travel together. So that's it. Part of my heart in Spokane, part in Helena with Kyleigh and Caleb. Part in Portland with Piper. That's not even counting their parents and Alex in Japan. Whoever said when the kids grow up it gets easier is nutso.
Piper and I went shopping this morning to get thread for Teresa's piano doily and then to Target for some pretty hair things and a princess plate for Miss Piper. It's the first time I've left the house since last Thursday and it was a fun time with my little girl. She likes to shop and really likes Michaels and the yarn aisle with all the colors. I let her "pet" the yarn and she really likes that. I think we have a future crocheter/knitter here girls!
She's napping now and silly me, I'm begrudging even those few minutes of not playing with her before I leave.
Have a wonderful day my friends. I'll let you know when I get home.
Blessings,
Betsy
