Review! -Makeup Revolution: I Heart Makeup- 'I Am...' Palettes!

I have another review for you all and this one is for eye shadows. I know recently I have posted a lot about lipsticks and I thought I needed to break that up a little bit. If there is anything you would like to see on my blog, a special post or something, let me know!

Anyway, lets get into the review shall we. 

So, I've had these palettes for a while now and I just haven't reviewed them for some reason. If you know me, you'll know that I love Makeup Revolution and I feel that their eyeshadow's are the best shadows in the drugstore. I particularly love the shadows in the I Heart Makeup range the most which is why I tend to get most of my shadows from that section of the website. 

These are the I Am... palettes and they are little miniature palettes which are adorable. There are 4 in the collection and I bought these on an half-price offer a while back, the whole set cost me £10! That's so cheap and affordable for these wonderful palettes.

So as you can see, they are little palettes consisting of 6 shadows and a lipstick to match. I love the concept of these because it is a complete eye and lip look in one tiny palette. They all also have mirrors which, again, make them travel friendly and help in creating a complete look. There is nothing else like this (from what I've seen) in the drugstore and they are a really good idea. 

Let's jump into the separate palettes...

 'I Am Naked'

The first one up is the 'I Am Naked' palette. As the name suggests, this is a lovely neutral palette. It includes warm browns and golds, perfect for everyday use. The lipstick in here is a nude and I think this colour would look good on so many skin tones as it looks like such a universal colour. There is a mix of shimmers and mattes which is nice because it really does include every colour you would need to do a complete eye look. 

 'I Am In Love'

Next is the 'I Am In Love' palette and this one is a gorgeous mix of pink toned shadows. I always refer to this as a mini Naked 3 palette because it seems to have chosen the best and favourite shades from that and put them into a tiny palette which is so convenient. I know that I use these kinds of shades in my actual Naked 3 palette and having a dupe and it in mini form is just perfect. This is the only lipstick out of all of them in the set that I don't like. I feel like baby pink is such a hard colour to wear, especially for paler skin tones, like me. This could work wearing it really sheered out but I don't suit baby pinks what;s so ever. But apart from the lipstick, this is the perfect little pink toned palette and, again, the shadow's are super pigmented and lovely. 

 'I Am Sexy'

Next is the 'I Am Sexy' palette and this includes much more sultry and smoky colours. These are all shimmers in here so it doesn't have the element of a matte shadow which some people might not like but I don't mind much really. I love the purple shades in here and I like how pigmented they are. These would look great for a smoky eye. Again, you can easily get a complete eye look out of these. The lipstick in here is a classic, blue toned, red, a staple colour. This would look good on pretty much everyone. I think this would be the ideal palette for beginners which want to delve into darker, more smoky colours because it gives good pigmentation, it's cheap and it has a lot of staple smoky shades in here.

 'I Am Powerful'

Last but not least, we have the 'I Am Powerful' palette which is very purple toned. I think purple is a really fun colour to play around with because it can be really natural and smoky but it also adds the extra pop of colour so I love playing with these kinds of purple shades. I find that these are similar to the 'I Am Sexy' palette but again, this one is much more purple rather than black. This one includes a couple of matte shadows and I really like the lilac shadow as I don't have anything else like it in my collection. The lipstick in here is a gorgeous, berry plum colour. This one is my favourite lipstick out of all the sets. I love the shimmery shadows in here and they are still super pigmented and easy to blend. 

Overall, I love these little palettes. They are perfect for travelling and to just put in your handbag. Also having the mirror in them in a bonus because it means you don't have to carry around a mirror as well. I love the pigmentation, as I always do with Makeup Revolution eyeshadows, and they are just such a good idea. I love these palettes and I think people who are beginners and people who already love Makeup Revolution and just palettes in general will love these and for the price, you can't go wrong.
